The Action Plan sets out a commitment to adopt a social investment approach to make evidence informed decisions about when, where and how we invest to deliver change and improve lives. This includes understanding and prioritising what we are investing and in and contracting differently.
Baseline Review
The Centre is working with agencies to complete a baseline review of spending on family violence and sexual violence across government.. Over the next few months, we will be working in partnership with agencies to gather and analysis funding and investment information. This will help provide greater visibility of what we invest in and inform how we can make collective investment decisions.
Social Investment
In Budget 2025, the Government announced new funding of $275 million over four years for a new Social Investment Fund to deliver an integrated approach to social sector commissioning, focused on outcomes. The Centre is working with Social Investment Agency to identify opportunities for how it can participate and align with the new Social Investment Fund over time.
IEB agencies are also working together to identify opportunities to apply social sector commissioning principles and align contracting to increase the efficiency, accessibility and effectiveness of services.
